6X6 Desktop Calendar

After having to postpone from Saturday to yesterday due to snow , we did manage to finish our calendars! I will post more images tomorrow.January-Background is done with both emboss resist and Versamark resist techniques on glossy cardstock. Images are from the "Cold and Cuddly" set in the current Stampin' Up! mini catalog.
Hearts are punched out of Stampin' Up! Real Red designer paper, using bot Stampin' Up! heart punches. The saying is from "A Happy Heart".
Awesome! Ellen Kemper creates magic with Stampin' Up! punches! The leprechaun is designed by her. His head is the ornament punch (this is now 2 things other than ornaments for which we have used this punch. It's a must have! Remember the acorns??) I created the pot of gold to go with Ellen's guy.

Grass is created using the bottom edge of the "Inspired by Nature" stamp. Designed Paper is the "Razzleberry Lemonade".

Here is the "Family Blessings Mini Scrapbook we made at camp on Saturday. It's a paper bag album! See the leaf tabs on the right? Each one of those pulls out an additional hidden" page on which to either journal or add more pictures. Everyone finished this album in 2 1/2 hours! Not bad for a complete album!

Here is a hidden page pulled out for viewing.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack #2

Another card from the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack this past weekend. Hard to see, but the card is acetate stamped with white stazon. I took different elements of various punched santas I had seen to make this version.

One of the cards we did at the Christmas Stamp-a-stack this past weekend. Many versions of this card have been done; this is mine. Reminds me of the quiet and peace while walking in the woods after a heavy snow.
"Branch Out" and "Winter Post were used, along with Basic Black and Bordering Blue ink. The "Peace" is from the set "Four the Holidays". The trees are glittered, giving the card that 'wow' factor, even though it is quite simple and fast to make.

Halloween Spread #2

LOVE these border strips! The chalkboard technique is used after the image was rolled-white out the areas you want to color by coloring with white ink, then you can color overtop with colored pencils. What I especially love about these borders is the use of glitter/beads on the walkways up the hills!

Halloween Scrap Page

LOVE the Sizzix Serif alphabet more and more and more....

I belong to a yahoo group called How Swappin Mamas. Each month, we sign up for a certain element, send in 10 of that element, and then receive one of each element back. This spread uses some of the elements I received back this month, and I am LOVIN' them!
I took just some of them, and made this spread-title, 2 different tags (ghosts and skull), and what we call tiles (the circles with images).
So far I have put together 3 more spreads with the elements I got back! More to come tomorrow...

Halloween and Fall Goodie Boxes

Here is one of the projects we did at the Fall/Halloween Goodies Camp today. These goodie boxes are made with the Box #2 Sizzix Die. They are so easy to make using that! What a nice way to give someone a little something sweet!

One of the projects we'll be making at the goodies camp this weekend. These buckets are fun to make! And they're sturdy, too.

Summer Scrapbook

Here is part of the Summer Scrapbook we made, once again, from cd folders. Looove these! They allow for so many places to put wither your pictures or journaling.
Cover is made with Stampin' Up!'s new "Medallion" stamp, with a build-a-brad in the center.
Flowers on the right are from the new "Greenhouse Garden" set, one of my favorites! Palm-type leaf is from Stampin' Up!'s new "Paradise" stamp set.
What is summer without grilling outdoors?

See how the large tags in the middle allow for so much more picture/journaling room?
All of the designer paper used in this album is from Stampin' Up!'s "Pink Flamingo" pack.

The rest of the album tomorrow..........

Sea Shells.....

This is one of the sets that I really wish wasn't retiring-"Seaside". Some of the prettiest shell images in rubber I have seen, and perfect for summer cards, both elegant and whimsical. Covering the inside part of the shell with crystal effects produces a beautiful, realistic-looking shell!

Ahhh-Summertime!

Nothing says summertime like a tall glass of cold lemonade! this scrapbook page is made using the Tart and Tangy set from Stampin' Up. A vellum 'glass' is sponged with Summer Sun ink and then stamped on the inside. Straw is made by running a thin strip of cardstock through a crimper.

Why I Love Stamping!

I often say that what got me started stamping was how quickly you can make simple but unique cards and gifts-here is a perfect example! I didn't want the same ol' invitations anyone else was buying at the store, AND I wanted to 'personalize' them with my graduates' school colors. Stamping to the rescue! In less time it would have taken me to go to a store and pick out generic invites, I had these 'special' ones made.
I don't know if you can see in the photo, but the diploma is white embossed down the left side of each one. They were super simple to make, but I think they came out really nice!

Back in Action!

I'm back! I've been MIA since my last post over a month ago, and the 2 pics above tell most of the story why-2 graduations! My daughter graduated from college, and my son graduated from high school. That alone makes for a very busy (but exciting!) time. Add to that getting the kitchen back together, shopping for a car for Beth (hers completely died), reincorporating Beth and all her stuff back into the house, and taking Mike to WV for college orientation and well, sometimes something has to give. Needless to say, as a mom it's been an emotional time.
But......now the excitement has died down and I get to stamp! I can't wait to see all of my stamping buddies again!
